Count Basie to offer Arts Impact Scholarships

The Count Basie Theatre will offer four Arts Impact Scholarship awards to Monmouth County high school seniors planning to attend college in the fall.

The deadline for application submissions is April 6 at 4 p.m.

The scholarships include the Moser Taboada Arts Impact Scholarship, the Monmouth Medical Center – RWJ Baranabas Health Arts Impact Scholarship, the Steven and Jamie Shultz Arts Impact Scholarship and the Monmouth County Freeholders’ Basie Scholarship for Continuing Education.

Each award is worth $2500 and will be applied towards a student’s freshman year tuition.

“Scientific studies are confirming that the arts do have a positive effect on student’s cognitive abilities. We are grateful for our generous supporters who share our commitment to impacting lives through the arts,” said Yvonne Lamb-Scudiery, Vice President of Count Basie Theatre Education Department in a press release.
