Monroe to participate in free seedling distribution on April 14

The Monroe Township Shade Tree Commission will participate in the New Jersey Tree Recovery Campaign, distributing 2,000 free seedlings to residents at various locations on April 14.

Up to five seedlings will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis and will be accompanied by instructions for storage, care and planting from 9-11 a.m. at the Department of Public Works, 76 Spotswood Gravel Hill Road; from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at James Monroe Park, Dey Grove-Bergen Mills Road; and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Monroe Township Library, 4 Municipal Plaza, and the Monroe Township Community Center, 120 Monmouth Road.
