Program at Monroe Library will address effects of early childhood education

United Way of Central Jersey will hold a talk about the beneficial effects of early childhood education from 1-3 p.m. on April 19 at the Monroe Township Library, 1 Municipal Plaza, Monroe.

Steven Barnett, director of the National Institute for Early Education Research at the Rutgers Graduate School of Education, will educate the public about the importance of how quality preschool for low income children results in a more successful year in kindergarten.
