Faber, Alexander will seek re-election in Upper Freehold Township

Voting on Election Day, voting ballot

UPPER FREEHOLD – Two incumbent members of the Township Committee in Upper Freehold Township will seek new three-year terms this year. The new terms will run from Jan. 1, 2019, through Dec. 31, 2021.

According to the municipal clerk’s office, Republicans Stephen Alexander and Robert Faber filed nominating petitions to retain their seats on the governing body. No Democrat filed a petition to run for office.

An individual who wants to run as an independent candidate has until June 5 to file a nominating petition and secure a place on the November ballot. During the June 5 primary, a candidate may be nominated by write-in votes to run with a political affiliation.

Alexander is serving as Upper Freehold’s mayor in 2018.

In 2015, the last time Alexander and Faber ran for office, they were unopposed in the general election.

All five members of the governing body are Republicans. Alexander and Faber are joined on the Township Committee by Dr. Robert Frascella, Stanley Moslowski Jr. and LoriSue H. Mount.
