Manalapan is expected to issue $2.59 million in bonds or notes and to reappropriate $313,100 from previous bond proceeds that were not needed for their intended purposes in order to undertake this year’s roster of capital improvements, Township Administrator Tara Lovrich said.

Two primary projects expected to occur are the resurfacing of Taylors Mills Road and the resurfacing of Gordons Corner Road. The township expects to receive $535,000 in grants from the DOT.

Officials will make a $136,346 down payment on the total improvements. The money will come from Manalapan’s capital improvement fund.
