Sayreville announces first Junior Police Academy

The Sayreville Police Department will hold its first Junior Police Academy from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from July 9-13 at Sayreville Middle School, 800 Washington Road, Parlin section of Sayreville.

Sayreville students entering 6-8 grades can participate. Only 20 spaces available, first come first served.

Academy recruits will learn self discipline, self respect, respecting others, teamwork and goal setting. Focus is on physical and mental challenges in a positive manner. Curriculum format is similar to an actual police academy, including educational programs, physical activities and various resources.

Cost is $100, non-refundable.
