Lauren Liberatore of Morganville has been inducted into Mu Kappa Tao, the national honor society for marketing, at the University of Scranton, Pa. Lauren is a graduate student pursing a Masters of Business Administration in marketing degree at the Jesuit University.

Victoria Hayes of Englishtown has graduated from Brevard College, Brevard, N.C., with a Bachelor of Arts degree in exercise science and psychology. Victoria was named to the dean’s list for the 2018 spring semester.

Ashley Hobbs of Freehold has graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in health science from Misericordia University, Dallas, Pa. Ashley was named to the dean’s list for the 2018 spring semester.

Kristen Pilchik of Freehold has been named to the dean’s list for the 2018 spring semester at Misericordia University, Dallas, Pa.

Grace Jackey, a sophomore communication major from Colts Neck, was named to the 2018 spring semester dean’s list at Bob Jones University, Greenville, S.C.

Samantha Drake of Marlboro has been named to the dean’s list for the 2018 spring semester at Quinnipiac University, Hamden, Conn. Samantha is a junior in the School of Business, majoring in marketing. She is the daughter of Leslie and Steve Drake and a 2015 graduate of Marlboro High School.

Nicholas C. Barbella of Freehold Township has been named to the dean’s list for the 2018 spring semester at Rowan University, Glassboro. He is majoring in communications studies with a minor in sports communications and media. Nicholas is the son of Nicholas and Angela Barbella. He is a 2016 graduate of Freehold High School, Freehold Borough. Nicholas has been accepted by the New Jersey Motion Picture and Television Commission, Newark, for an internship he will complete this summer.

Jillian Krantz, a 2017 graduate of Marlboro High School, has been named to the dean’s list with a 4.0 GPA at the University of Florida, Gainesville, Fla., for the 2018 spring semester. Jillian is an accounting major.

Misericordia University, Dallas, Pa., Staff Council recently recognized Brianna Membrino of Manalapan for her leadership and service to others by presenting her the Staff Council Leadership Award at the 35th annual Leadership Awards Dinner. Misericordia University Staff Council Community Fiscal Committee members chose Membrino, an occupational therapy major, for the award. The university presents the award to a student who exhibits exceptional leadership qualities and exemplifies the values of the founding Sisters of Mercy – Mercy, Service Justice and Hospitality – in the campus community.

Eleven rising juniors and seniors at Salve Regina University, Newport, R.I., have been selected for a leadership development program run by the Pell Center. Named in honor of the wife of U.S. Sen. Claiborne Pell, the Nuala Pell Leadership Program builds student leaders for the 21st century. Kailyn Leary of Freehold, political science/philosophy, has been named a fellow. The program includes monthly meetings where students explore leadership theory, ethics, evolution of public issues and what it takes to be a leader in the public sector.

The following students were named to the dean’s list at York College of Pennsylvania, York, Pa., for the 2018 spring semester: Susan Cuneo of Freehold, a junior secondary education/English major, and Ashley DiLorenzo of Manalapan, a senior early elementary/special education major.

The following students have graduated from York College of Pennsylvania, York, Pa.: Matthew Tennyson of Englishtown graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and Ashley DiLorenzo of Manalapan graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in early elementary/special education.

Hal Guberman, the son of Mark and Beverly Guberman of Marlboro, graduated from The College of New Jersey, Ewing, with a Bachelors Degree in marketing.

At a Wesleyan University, Middletown, Conn., prize reception on May 9, Freehold native Catherine Kiall was awarded the Ingraham Prize for excellence in New Testament Greek or a Greek elective course. Catherine formerly attended The Peddie School, Hightstown.

William DeMato of Manalapan graduated from Gettysburg College, Gettysburg, Pa., with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Arthur Avila of Manalapan was named to the spring 2018 president’s list at Hudson Valley Community College, Troy, N.Y. Arthur is studying in the non-matriculated academic program at the college.

Jesse Chalnick of Freehold has graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience from Wilkes University, Wilkes-Barre, Pa.

Bucknell University, Lewisburg, Pa., announced that the following students have been named to the dean’s list for the 2018 spring semester: Meghan Holtz of Freehold, Avery Rosh-Gorsky of Manalapan, Ali Russo of Morganville, Manya Saaraswat of Morganville, Matt Thorsheim of Manalapan and Spencer Volk of Manalapan.

Eric Katzen of Morganville, the son of Hal and Ellice Katzen, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Hofstra University, Hempstead, N.Y., with a major in mechanical engineering and an aeronautical engineering concentration. During his time at Hofstra, Eric participated in co-op and interns with NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, Cal Tech Jet Propulsion Labs, Lockheed Martin, United Airlines, and Ripak Aerospace, and was named to the dean’s list. He was the founding member and former president of the student chapter of the American Society of Mechanical  Engineers. Eric will work for Boeing and pursue his master’s degree in electrical engineering at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Eric is a 2013 graduate of Marlboro High School.

Northeastern University, Boston, Mass., has named the following area residents to the dean’s list for the 2018 spring semester: Amanda DeMonte of Manalapan, who is majoring in international business. Amanda is also a member of the University Honors Program; Nina Tamashunas of Morganville, who is majoring in behavioral neuroscience. Nina is also a member of the University Honors Program; Joshua Rosenberg of Freehold, who is majoring in computer science. Joshua is also a member of the University Honors Program; Lindsey McTighe of Freehold, who is majoring in mathematics/business administration. Lindsey is also a member of the University Honors Program; Amanda Freyre of Freehold, who is majoring in international affairs. Amanda is also a member of the University
Honors Program.

Sarah Elice of Morganville has been named to the dean’s list at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester, Mass., for the 2018 spring semester. Sarah is a member of the class of 2020 majoring in electrical and computer engineering.
