South River Bicycle Rodeo postponed until June 16

The South River Police Department has postponed its annual Bicycle Rodeo & Public Safety Day to June 16.

The day will begin at 9 a.m. at Denny Stadium, David Street, South River.

Learn about bicycle safety and the various public safety services available to the community. Ask questions, see emergency vehicles, view emergency equipment displays and meet public safety officials.

The South River Fire Department, South River Rescue Squad and Middlesex County Special Operations Response Team (S.O.R.T.) will display specialized equipment and partake in special demonstrations.

The Middlesex County Sheriff’s Department will conduct its Fingerprint & File program. A visit by the New Jersey State Police North Star helicopter is scheduled. Planet Bike from East Brunswick will perform free bicycle inspections. Dialed Action Sports Team will perform a BMX stunt show.

Admission is free.

Bicyclists must wear helmets to participate.
