The Township of East Brunswick will sponsor its first “Walk With A Doc” fitness event from 8-10:30 a.m. on June 3 at Bicentennial Park, 180 Hardenburg Lane, East Brunswick.
Walk With A Doc is a national wellness program created to encourage people of all ages to enjoy a fun, safe, physical activity, while combating the harmful effects people who sit for long periods of time suffer.
Mayor Brad Cohen and representatives from the Middlesex County Health Department will focus on women’s health and wellness. Members of the community are invited to join them for scheduled walks to talk about health-related topics while being physically active. Cohen, who is also a medical doctor, will be the first doctor to participate in the event.
People of all ages are invited to participate in this free event. Free refreshments and giveaways will also be offered.
