New Jersey needs to address gas tax issue

New Jersey needs to eliminate the recently enacted increase in the gas tax. The increased tax leads to a stifled economy, and gas prices become excessively high due to artificial and real reasons.

People need to travel to work, charity events and recreation. Gas stations employ families who pay taxes. Gas is pumped for the elderly, disabled and sick people. Why do we need to eliminate this service just because other states have ignorant programs?

Once enacted, taxes never go down in New Jersey, and New Jersey is one of the most overtaxed states. Remember the start of the sales and income tax? A higher sales tax also stifles the economy, so the fractional reduction should be reduced to 5 percent, then we will experience a boom and less underground market. I’m not sure how southern states have such beautiful and clean roads with less taxation.

New Jersey will have a continued exodus of people who have paid high taxes for decades with continued lack of foresight.
