The University of Scranton, Pa., announced the graduation of the following area residents: Marissa L. Busso of Freehold, Bachelor of Arts in strategic communication; Victoria L. Crociata of Freehold, Bachelor of Science in occupational therapy; Nicholas DePierro of Manalapan, Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering; Madison L. Massaro of Manalapan, Bachelor of Science in community health education; Nicholas G. Piscopo of Freehold, Bachelor of Science in finance; Alessia Tagliavia of Freehold, Bachelor of Science in occupational therapy; and Kristen M. Nicosia of Manalapan, Bachelor of Science in nursing.

Marist College, Poughkeepsie, N.Y., announced the graduation of the following area residents: James Ambrose of Englishtown, Bachelor of Science degree in business administration; Erina Caferra of Freehold, Bachelor of Science degree in computer science; Victoria Cervone of Freehold, Bachelor of Arts degree in communication; Emma Hellmann of Colts Neck, Bachelor of Science degree in business administration; Ryan Neumann of Freehold, Bachelor of Science degree in computer science; Dylan Olsen of Marlboro, Bachelor of Science degree in business administration; Victoria Vuoso of Englishtown, Bachelor of Science degree in digital media; and Courtney White of Englishtown, Bachelor of Science degree in business administration.

Eric Katzen of Morganville, the son of Hal and Ellice Katzen, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Hofstra University, Hempstead, N.Y., with a major in mechanical engineering and an aeronautical engineering concentration. During his time at Hofstra, Eric participated in co-op and interns with NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, Cal Tech Jet Propulsion Labs, Lockheed Martin, United Airlines, and Ripak Aerospace, and was named to the dean’s list. He was the founding member and former president of the student chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Eric will work for Boeing and pursue his master’s degree in electrical engineering at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Eric is a 2013 graduate of Marlboro High School.

Northeastern University, Boston, Mass., has named the following area residents to the dean’s list for the 2018 spring semester: Amanda DeMonte of Manalapan, who is majoring in international business. Amanda is also a member of the University Honors Program; Nina Tamashunas of Morganville, who is majoring in behavioral neuroscience. Nina is also a member of the University Honors Program; Joshua Rosenberg of Freehold, who is majoring in computer science. Joshua is also a member of the University Honors Program; Lindsey McTighe of Freehold, who is majoring in mathematics/business administration. Lindsey is also a member of the University Honors Program; Amanda Freyre of Freehold, who is majoring in international affairs. Amanda is also a member of the University Honors Program.

Arthur Avila of Manalapan was named to the spring 2018 president’s list at Hudson Valley Community College, Troy, N.Y. Arthur is studying in the non-matriculated academic program at the college.

Jesse Chalnick of Freehold has graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience from Wilkes University, Wilkes-Barre, Pa.

Bucknell University, Lewisburg, Pa., announced that the following students have been named to the dean’s list for the 2018 spring semester: Meghan Holtz of Freehold, Avery Rosh-Gorsky of Manalapan, Ali Russo of Morganville, Manya Saaraswat of Morganville, Matt Thorsheim of Manalapan and Spencer Volk of Manalapan.

Sarah Elice of Morganville has been named to the dean’s list at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester, Mass., for the 2018 spring semester. Sarah is a member of the class of 2020 majoring in electrical and computer engineering.

Yaw Opare-Sem of Freehold was awarded a Bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester, Mass.

Shannon Lewis of Manalapan has been named to the dean’s list for the 2018 spring semester at West Chester University, West Chester, Pa.

Ryan Piwowar of Manalapan has graduated cum laude from the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University, Bronx, N.Y., with a degree in finance and economics. Ryan will begin his new position with S&P Global in July.

Sarah Richman of Marlboro has been named to the dean’s list for the 2018 spring semester at High Point University, High Point, N.C.

Arcadia University, Glenside, Pa., announced the graduation of the following area residents: Emilie Gottlieb of Manalapan, Bachelor of Arts in psychology; and Theodore Price of Manalapan, Bachelor of Arts in sociology.

Northeastern University, Boston, Mass., announced that the following residents of Manalapan have been named to the dean’s list for the 2018 spring semester: Frederick Magliozzi Jr., Brandon Coull, Chase Broder, Max Rais, Maxwell Saunders, Rachel Dau, Katelyn Hennessy and Rahul Mehta.

Arcadia University, Glenside, Pa., announced the graduation of the following area residents: Nicholas Cardace of Freehold, Bachelor of Arts in healthcare administration; and Stephanie Kawas of Freehold, Bachelor of Arts in biology.

Matthew W. Goon, son of Christine and Edward Goon of Manalapan, has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hamilton College, Clinton, N.Y. Matthew majored in computer science.

Clemson University, Clemson, S.C., announced the graduation of the following local residents: Kristopher C. Kohm of Colts Neck, magna cum laude, Bachelor of Science in computer science; Robert J. Benson of Manalapan, Bachelor of Science in bioengineering; and Ryan S. Badum of Morganville, Bachelor of Science in geology.

Caitlin Victoria Ramos of Manalapan graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in cinema from McDaniel College, Westminster, Md. Caitlin also earned honors in cinema.

Monica Masterson, a senior majoring in cell and development biology at the University of Rochester, Rochester, N.Y., has been elected to Phi Beta Kappa, the nation’s oldest academic honor society. Monica, the child of Margaret Masterson, is a resident of Freehold and a graduate of Communications High School of Monmouth County, Wall Township.

The University of Vermont, Burlington, Vt., has announced the graduation of the following area residents: Jaclyn Bocchino of Manalapan, Bachelor of Science, professional nursing; Lori Decarlo of Freehold, Bachelor of Science, animal sciences; and Elise Thompson of Freehold, Bachelor of Science, elementary education (K-6).

Chris Thomas of Marlboro received a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Saint Mary, Leavenworth, Kansas.

Arielle Diner of Marlboro has been named to the dean’s list for the 2018 spring semester at the University of Vermont, Burlington, Vt. Diner is majoring in psychological science in the College of Arts and Sciences.
