North Brunswick Humane Association seeks various volunteers

Eric Sucar
Barbara Pucillo from left, Kim Tamborra and Lindsay Papa all of Associated Humane Societies in Tinton Falls, hold up dogs that are up for adoption, during ‘Dog’s Night Out’ held in downtown Keyport on June 29. Residents of Keyport will enjoy a night out with their dogs, complete with local vendors, live entertainment, and a farmer's market. A special viewing of the film "A Dog's Purpose" will also be shown on West Front Street.

The North Brunswick Humane Association needs volunteers with professional skills and a love for animals to help with its lifesaving programs.

Among the help needed is people with knowledge of marketing and fundraising; the ability to organize special events, including fundraising events; leadership ability to recruit and organize volunteer efforts; and knowledge of various software programs, databases and social media.

In addition, volunteers for the Community Cat Program include short-term foster homes; trappers and transporters; those with the time and ability to socialize cats and kittens; and those who can return phone calls and respond to emails, and assist with record keeping.
