• The American Association of University Women Freehold branch will host its annual used book sale from June 20-23 at the First United Methodist Church, 91 W. Main St., Freehold. Residents of all towns are invited to purchase books of all types: gardening, children’s classics, fantasy, mystery, nature, biography, fiction, science fiction, history, psychology and sports. The AAUW book sale has been a tradition in Freehold since 1973. There is no admission charge June 21-23. Most books are priced at 50 cents to $2. Special books are priced higher. Proceeds are used to assist outstanding area high school female seniors and women over 25 who are returning to college to pursue undergraduate or graduate degrees.
