United Methodist Church of Milltown will hold its third annual
Old-Fashioned Summer Concert at 5 p.m. on July 1 at the church, 47 N. Main St., Milltown.

The music in this concert hearkens back to the nostalgic days of summer concerts in the park, as the band played in the bandstand. The program will include works by Demarest, Gershwin, Sousa, Strauss and others.

A free-will offering will be taken to help fund the installation
of the church’s pipe organ.

The concert will be followed by a strawberry shortcake reception in the church courtyard.

This is the last concert in which the electronic organ will be played. In early July, the organ will be dismantled and the console sent to the organ builder’s shop to be modified and hooked up to the church’s new pipe organ.
