Eatontown Planning Board approves Monmouth Mall redevelopment plans

 The Eatontown Planning Board approved the proposed site plans for the redevelopment of Monmouth Mall that includes 700 apartment units near a neighboring residential development.

The planning board voted 7-1 in favor during the July 16 meeting, which was the seventh hearing that has been held on the application filed by Eatontown Monmouth Mall, a joint effort between Kushner Companies and Rouse Properties.

Over three months, the applicant has been seeking municipal approval to remodel, renovate and repurpose the Monmouth Mall for commercial and retail use. The Monmouth Mall is located at the intersection of Route 35 and Route 36.
