Millstone appoints municipal court administrator

MILLSTONE – A new municipal court administrator in Millstone Township has been appointed by the Township Committee.

On July 18, committee members appointed Sonia Paxtor as the municipal court administrator, effective July 23. Paxtor is a certified municipal court administrator. The salary for the 35-hour position is $60,000.

Paxtor will succeed Diane Canzanella, who retired on June 1 after 25 years of service to Millstone, according to a resolution.

In other business, the committee passed a resolution appointing Matthew Hart as a full-time Department of Public Works (DPW) laborer, effective July 16.

According to the resolution, Hart was previously employed as a temporary seasonal laborer. He will initially be paid $14.50 per hour as a full-time DPW laborer. On April 9, 2019, his one-year anniversary of employment with the township, his salary will increase to $16 per hour.

Finally, the committee passed a resolution appointing Gene Madeam as an alternate member of the Open Space and Farmland Preservation Council. His term will end Dec. 31, 2019.

Mayor Gary Dorfman, Deputy Mayor Nancy Grbelja and committee members Fiore Masci and Michael Kuczinski voted in favor of the appointments made at the July 18 meeting. Committeeman Bob Kinsey was absent.
