Edison National Night Out starts at 6 p.m. Aug. 7 at Papaianni Park

Children of all ages visit with ‘Chase’ and ‘Marshall’ during National Night Out Against Crime held at Papaianni Park in Edison on August 1. The event, which was hosted by the Edison Police Department, included exhibits, demonstrations and entertainment with visits from McGruff the Crime Dog and Paw Patrol.

Edison will host its annual National Night Out event starting at 6 p.m. Aug. 7 at Papaianni Park on Municipal Boulevard off Route 27.

The main event is an outdoor movie “Coco,” which starts at 8:30 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to bring blankets or low-back chairs.

The event also features a visit by McGruff the Crime Dog and his Paw Patrol, free food, a video game trailer, police and fire equipment demonstrations, entertainment and information booths sponsored by the Recreation and Health departments, the town’s Clean Communities program, various businesses and civic groups.
