Pasternak wins prestigious PGA award

Dan Pasternak, a native of Middletown who is the PGA General Manager at the Essex Fells Country Club, has been named the PGA Golf Professional of the Year. Pasternak is the 65th winner of the national award, which is “the highest annual honor given to a PGA golf professional,” according to a PGA press release.

The graduate of Mater Dei Prep has been a PGA member for 22 years. He  is the first PGA pro to serve as Essex Fells’ general manager in the Essex County club’s 122-year history. More than 20 of Pasternak’s former assistants and colleagues have advanced to PGA Professional status.
