Before school starts, visit the Raritan Valley YMCA, 144 Tices Lane, East Brunswick. The Y will host an After-School Care Program Open House from 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 18. The theme of our event is water fun and water safety, so have children bring their bathing suits.
There will be activities and games for children, as well as information on year-round enrichment programs. After-school and early childhood enrollment is ongoing, pending space. Participants must be registered by Aug. 25 to start during the first week of school.
Experienced, licensed YMCA professionals implement a curriculum with monthly themes designed for well-rounded learning through academic, cognitive, socio-emotional, and physical development.
From infants through middle school years, participants have access to learning rooms, reading room, enrichment/homework room, gymnasium, tennis/basketball court, aerobics studio, multiple outdoor playgrounds, birthday party room, nature education center, and outdoor aquatics facility. Transportation and healthy snacks are provided for children in the after-school program.
