The Metuchen Recreation Commission will hold its annual fishing derby at 9 a.m. on Aug. 18 at Thomas Pond on Lake Avenue, Metuchen.
The fee is $1 per child. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Bring your own fishing poles and bait.
Trophies will be awarded in several categories.
