Monroe dentist from Marlboro charged with improper sexual contact of employees

A dentist was charged on Aug. 20 with improper sexual contact with three of his female employees at his Monroe office.

Dr. Richard Goldberg, 47, of the Morganville section of Marlboro, was charged with three counts of criminal sexual contact in the fourth degree and one count of endangering the welfare of a child in the third degree, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Chief Michael Lloyd of the Monroe Police Department.

The investigation determined that from July 2016 through August 2018, Goldberg, on multiple occasions, allegedly improperly touched three of his female employees, one of whom was 17 years old when the acts started, according to the statement. This contact allegedly took place during normal working hours at his Monroe office, located on Spotswood Englishtown Road.

Goldberg was scheduled for his initial court appearance in New Brunswick Superior Court on Sept. 13, as of press time.
