The University Outing Club has announced its fall schedule and invites nature lovers, outdoor enthusiasts, walkers, hikers and historians to become members.
In September, the club will hold its annual picnic, take the Circle Line Cruise around Manhattan, visit Howell Farms, tour Pennsbury Manor, and hike Plainsboro Preserve.
October’s plans include birding, seeing a deserted village,  hikes in Franklin Township and Upper Freehold, and a trip to Voorhees Planetarium.
In November, the club will visit Morris Museum, walk along the Perth Amboy waterfront, and tour the Camden Aquarium.
To celebrate the holidays, the club will attend a performance at a dessert theatre.
Impromptu trips also occur, with notice through email.
Shared driving is arranged by members.
A newsletter with a detailed calendar of events is sent to all members three times a year.
Dues are $20 per year for individuals, $30 for couples/families.
The University Outing Club was started at Rutgers University in 1931. For more information, visit www.universityoutingclub.org.
