Municipal officials, department heads invited to attend summit Sept. 15

Red Bank will serve as the host for the “Regional Best Practices & Innovation Summit” on Sept 15. from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Red Bank Middle School. The school is located at 101 Harding Road.

Municipal officials and department heads from the surrounding municipalities are invited to attend the conversational workshop that will discuss how best to evolve, adjust and improve the delivery of services.

State Senator Vin Gopal will be the co-host to the event as mayors, council members and department heads from 27 of neighboring communities join in on the discussion.

“From a technological and workflow perspective, the world around us is rapidly changing, and we’re just not keeping up,” Mayor Pasquale Menna said in a statement. “This summit will help us advance the conversation on innovation in government in a meaningful way.”

Focus groups in the form of breakout sessions will be held throughout the day. The sessions are as follows:

  • Strategies for Enhancing Revenues
  • “Smart City” Technologies & the latest in Private-Public Partnership Strategies
  • Energy Strategies and Market Trends
  • Best Applications for Service Delivery, Workflow Management, & Using the “Cloud” for Maximum Results
