Three winning lottery tickets sold in South River

SOUTH RIVER – Three winning Jersey Cash Five tickets were sold in South River, splitting the $183,408 jackpot.

Three tickets matched all five numbers drawn on Aug. 24. Two of the winning tickets were sold at the same retailer location, according to the New Jersey Lottery. Each ticket is worth $61,136.

One winning ticket was sold at Krauszer’s, 81 Main St., and two winning tickets were sold at Minit Mart, 148 Whitehead Ave.

“We are thrilled the winning jackpot tickets were sold at Krauszer’s and Minit Mart. The retailers will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for each winning ticket sold. Overnight, they have become two more ‘lucky locations’ for the very fortunate lottery winners,” Acting Executive Director James Carey said.

Carey announced there were 338,588 tickets purchased for the drawing.
