The Child Care Services Branch of the YMCA of Metuchen, Edison, Woodbridge and South Amboy (MEWSA) is sponsoring its 10th annual Tot Trot and Youth Fun Run on Oct. 14, rain or shine, at Metuchen High School, 400 Grove Ave., Metuchen.
Families with children from crawlers to 12 years old are invited to join. The event begins at 10:30 a.m. and includes vendors and activities prior to the races including games, crafts, a Bounce House, face painting and tattoos (wristband must be purchased).
The event helps the Y support families from the community by providing scholarship assistance to those unable to pay the full cost of child care. The fund also provides aid to families in crisis and allows us to temporarily provide tuition assistance in the event of a family emergency.
The Tot Trot and Youth Fun Run is sponsored by Metuchen Savings Bank which has sponsored the event since its inception in 2008 and Hackensack Meridian Health, a long-time supporter of the YMCA of MEWSA.
