Aberdeen introduces ‘MyAberdeen’ app for service requests, news

Aberdeen Township has introduced MyAberdeen, a free mobile app for residents to obtain information on news, events, and to submit service requests.

The MyAberdeen app allows residents to stay up-to-date with what is happening in town, as well as submit general questions and non-emergency service requests. The app also allows individuals to determine their street’s garbage pick-up day, according to a press release from the township.

MyAberdeen is available on the Apple Store or Google Play.

The app’s ‘Submit Service Request’ feature allows citizens to inform township officials of important issues such as potholes, property maintenance concerns, missed trash collection, animal control issues and street light issues, according to the press release.

MyAberdeen allows users to pinpoint the location of the issue they are reporting with GPS navigation, attach photos, and receive automatic status updates as their request is handled.

Users will also be able to review news and events, link to township social media sites and view information from the township’s website.

“With MyAberdeen, residents can access township services and information from anywhere, making it an invaluable tool for today’s busy lifestyle,” Deputy Mayor Robert Swindle said in a statement.
