The fourth annual Purple for Pappas 5K will be held from 7:30-11:30 a.m. on Oct. 21 at North Brunswick Community Park, 2053 Route 130 south, North Brunswick. Rain date is on Oct. 27.
Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. Opening ceremonies and festivities start at 8:15 a.m. The race kicks off at 9 a.m.

The event honors the life of Aubrey Pappas, a teacher at Linwood Middle School who died in a traffic accident in 2014.
