Collaborative art project offered at East Brunswick Library

VASHTI HARRIS/STAFF
Artwork created by seventh graders from Hammarskjold Middle School is on display at the Rutgers Art Library through May 30.

The East Brunswick Arts Commission and the East Brunswick Library are teaming up for a collaborative art project at the library.

Community artists can decorate a three-inch by three-inch canvas square, as well as create a “Lovey Town” (small photograph cut-out) person. These projects will be on display throughout October.

The library held two drop in sessions for community members to participate. Children ages 2 and up can participate during a special program at 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 20.

The library will have additional “pop up” collaborative art project sessions. Check www.ebpl.org for details.

Additional funding for this program comes from the Friends of the East Brunswick Library.

The library is located at 2 Civic Center Dr., off Ryders Lane, East Brunswick.
