The Malvern School, 385 N. County Line Road, Jackson, will host its annual Fall Festival open house from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 20. Walters has opened The Ponds At Jackson Twenty-One, an income-restricted housing community offering 88 LEED-certified apartment units. Residents have begun moving into the townhouse-styled apartments, which feature private entrances and one- to three-bedroom layouts. The 11-building community was constructed using green building practices. “We are very proud of what we do, and we plan to build many more communities like this throughout the state,” said Joseph Del Duca, Partner and Director of Affordable Housing. “Our goal is to provide people with a safe and secure place to live, near where they work, and where their kids can go to a good school and have a successful life.” Rents at The Ponds At Jackson Twenty-One are subject to income restrictions. John Gonzalez of East Brunswick has been hired as the supervisor of instruction for the Alpha School, Jackson, one of three RKS Association private special education schools, approved by the New Jersey Department of Education for students with special needs and disabilities. Gonzalez will oversee classroom operations at the Alpha School and work with the instructional staff on IEP planning and implementation, and behavioral intervention. Besides serving as the certified school safety specialist at the Alpha School, Gonzalez will also continue to work part-time at the Gateway School, Carteret, as the supervisor of instruction.
