Local entrepreneur backs Julie Blake for committee

To the editor:

I have been a local realtor, a small business owner and a member of the Hopewell Valley Economic Development commission for 10 years and a resident here for more than 30 years. In the last several years I have had the pleasure of getting to know Julie Blake and I am frequently blown away by what a calm, considerate, and thoughtful person she is. That’s why I am proud to endorse her for re-election to the township committee.

As a man who has been to a lot of meetings and worked on a lot of committees in my day, I know it is not always easy for women to make their voices heard. But I have seen Julie quietly and firmly take the reins in meetings that threaten to go out of control and I respect her ability to do so.

There is much to do in the Hopewell Valley in the next several years. Dear to my heart is the #EatLocal #BuyLocal movement. We are so fortunate to enjoy local farm markets, great restaurants, parks, stores and the great Lawrenceville-Hopewell Trail. As a fierce proponent of protecting our way of life here, I count on Julie to support our Valley and make the tough decisions that are needed.

On November 6, please join me in supporting Julie for Hopewell Township Committee.
