Young gymnast set to compete in Russia in November

Ava DeHanes, a 10-year-old national champion in trampoline gymnastics, will represent the United States at the World Age Group Gymnastics Competition in St. Petersburg, Russia, Nov. 12-19.
State Senator Samuel Thompson (R-Burlington, Middlesex, Monmouth) and Assemblywoman Serena DiMaso (R-Monmouth) presented Ava with a declaration in recognition of her achievements and in support of her future goals during a fundraiser at El Toro Loco in Kendall Park on Oct. 10.
Ava is the daughter of Donna DePinto, owner of D’Bella Salon in the Kendall Park section of South Brunswick. Visitors to D’Bella Salon will find a sponsorship box for Ava, where they can learn more about Ava and make a contribution. The salon is located at 3110 Route 27.
