To the editor:
After volunteering with the HSAs and Hillsborough schools’ booster clubs for 15 years, I began to volunteer with another community group, where I met Jane Staats, a fellow volunteer.
I recommend her for the Hillsborough Board of Education due to her consistent involvement in the Hillsborough community and educational system for over 25 years, including but not limited to her role at Hillsborough High School as a math teacher.
Jane is an active volunteer with her church and the high school theater, along with other organizations. She cares tremendously about our community, has integrity, and is actively involved.
Jane is not a talker, she is a doer and is genuine. She sincerely values and listens to all points of view. And just as importantly, Jane will be committed to strengthening our community’s educational programs as a member of the Board of Education.
