Massage therapist charged with sexual assault

A massage therapist at the Renewed Spa Massage, Route 31, Pennington, has been charged with one count each of sexual assault and criminal sexual contact, according to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.

Asmar Berry, 40, of Clementon, was charged with assaulting an adult female client during a massage in an incident that occurred in September, the prosecutor’s office said.

Berry allegedly touched intimate areas of the woman’s body without her consent during the woman’s appointment at the spa last month, according to the prosecutor’s office. Berry was charged on a summons and released, pending future court proceedings.

The investigation is ongoing by the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office’s Special Victims Unit. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call Detective Karen Mendez at 609-989-6568.
