The Bells of Peace is a collaborative program sponsored by the United States World War I Centennial Commission, the Pritzker Military Museum and Library in Chicago, the Society of the Honor Guard of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Communities across the nation are invited to join the tolling of the Peace Bells 21 times honoring the 116,516 American men and women who perished in World War 1.

World War I ended with the signing of the Armistice on Nov. 11, 1918, at 11 a.m. The bells will be tolled to mark the centennial of the Armistice that brought an end to “The War to End All Wars.”

 All are encouraged to attend.
