Drop off greeting cards at Monroe Library through Dec. 7.

KATHY CHANG/STAFF — Edgar Middle School students wrote letters and cards to one of their own, Lucas Dalfonsi, who is currently deployed in the Middle East with the 117th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion Unit for the New Jersey Army National Guard. Dalfonsi grew up in Metuchen and is a 2011 graduate of Metuchen High School.

The Monroe Township Public Library is collecting spare winter greeting cards for the holiday season, through Dec. 7.

Donations will benefit the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen.

A collection box is accessible during regular operating hours at the library, 4 Municipal Plaza, Monroe.
