Purchase wreaths to mark veterans’ graves

Scott Jacobs
The Old Bridge-Sayreville Rotary Club hosted The National Wreaths Across America at the Sacred Heart Cemetary in Parlin, which lay wreaths on the graves of fallen veterans, on Dec 16.

For the 10th consecutive year, the Terra Nova Garden Club of Edison will present the Wreaths Across America program, wherein Christmas wreaths are placed on every veteran’s grave, at noon on Dec. 16 at St. James Church Piscatawaytown Burial Ground, 2136 Woodbridge Ave., Edison.

A wreath will be placed on the grave of each veteran buried there, some going as far back as The French and Indian War. All U.S. services will be represented.

The public is encouraged to Remember, Honor and Teach.

Wreaths are available for purchase for $15 each. Make checks payable to Wreaths Across America and mail to 15 Midland Road, Edison 08820. For more information, contact Gloria Dittman at 732-548-9134 or gsdittman@optonline.net.
