Hillsborough Business Association launches new website

A website that will promote local businesses has been launched in Hillsborough.

The Hillsborough Business Association (HBA) has created this new website that will allow   community businesses in the Hillsborough area the opportunity to promote themselves to residents and visitors on www.hillsboroughbusiness.org.

Now referred to as, “Experience Hillsborough,” the website includes a “Business Finder,” which is an improved tool that features new categories that provide an easier way to navigate throughout the site and allow you to now search for a business by their name.

The finder also lets you locate restaurants, attractions and other services offered throughout Hillsborough Township.

“Experience Hillsborough is part of the Township’s strategy to attract and retain visitors to Hillsborough and encourage them to experience all that Hillsborough Township has to offer,” said Mayor Gloria McCauley at the Township Committee Meeting on Oct. 30.

One feature that is included on the website is the HBA calendar, which lets businesses promote their events and services to the public.

There is also, Experience Hillsborough News which will be used to encourage initiatives like Hillsborough Restaurant Week, business grand openings, Shop Hillsborough and more.

“The new website is a showcase for Hillsborough and its business community to attract visitors and new customers to experience ‘Hillsborough, the Good Life,’” said Committeeman and Economic Business Development Committee Liaison, Shawn Lipani.

Another page on the new website is the Business Support page. The idea, according to Hillsborough officials, is to stimulate business development throughout the business community and welcome potential businesses to the area through various devices.

One feature that is now available will showcase commercial properties for lease or sale, while it will even allow businesses to fill out a listing application themselves or request a ribbon cutting online.

“This redesigned website with the Experience Hillsborough and Business Support pages will be a wonderful benefit to our business community to use and for our residents and visitors to discover,” said Lipani.

Any business that is interested in working with Hillsborough Township can request notifications by signing up for the Boro Procure e-Noyice at www.hillsborough-nj.orgto find out more regarding bids and to request proposal announcements.
