Sayreville War Memorial High School is the Central Jersey, Group 5 state sectional football playoff champion.
Sayreville held off North Brunswick Township High School to post a 6-0 victory in the sectional playoff final on Saturday, Nov. 17, at Sayreville’s field.
Sayreville relied on a strong defense behind Glenn Wright and Anthony Jackson to move on to the Group 5 state playoffs next weekend at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford.
Sayreville will play the winner of tonight’s South Jersey, Group 5 sectional final between Williamstown High School and Rancocas Valley High School.
