Basketball fundraiser to benefit South Amboy man battling cancer

As he thanks players from Bishop Ahr High School of Edison John Dragotta, a 39 year veteran of the South Amboy Fire Department and brother-in-law of Chris "Stretch" Szatkowski, who is battling Stage 4 cancer, is congratulated by coach Bob Turco prior to their game against Calvary Christian, in Southe Amboy on Dec 15.

The Friends of South Amboy will hold a basketball fundraising event on Dec. 15 at South Amboy Middle High School, 200 Governor Harold G. Hoffman Plaza, South Amboy.

Proceeds will benefit Chris “Stretch” Szatkowski, who is battling Stage 4 cancer.

The high school basketball games include South Amboy girls vs. Piscataway Vo-Tech at 2 p.m., South Amboy boys vs. Piscataway Vo-Tech at 4 p.m., Bishop Ahr boys vs. Calvary Christian at 6 p.m., and Sayreville boys vs. South River at 8 p.m.
