Annual Turkey Trot returns to Princeton

In an effort to raise money for local charities, Trinity Church in Princeton will serve as the host to its 11th annual Turkey Trot 5K on Thanksgiving Day.

Four organizations received $16,500 each from proceeds from the race, last year – Arm in Arm, Trenton Children’s Focus, Urban Promise of Trenton and Housing Initiatives of Princeton.

Arm in Arm connects individuals in need of food, housing and job support with assistance. The Trenton Children’s Chorus empowers the academic, social, and spiritual lives of children through artistry in music. The mission of Urban Promise of Trenton is to equip Trenton’s children and young adults with the skills necessary for academic achievement, life management and spiritual growth. The Housing Initiatives of Princeton are dedicated to transitioning low-income working families and individuals who are homeless or facing imminent homelessness to permanent housing and sustained self-sufficiency.

On that Thursday, Nov. 22, Beginning and ending at Trinity Church, 33 Mercer St., Princeton, the race follows a scenic course through Princeton University, past Einstein’s house, the Institute for Advanced Study and other historic locations.
