Red Bank Catholic High School capped an undefeated football season when it defeated Mater Dei Prep, 14-10, to win the NJSIAA Non-Public, Group 3 playoff championship on Saturday, Nov 24, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford.
Red Bank Catholic, which ended the year at 11-0, received touchdowns from Steve Lubischer, an 11-yard run, and Billy Guidetti, a three-yard burst. Red Bank Catholic also relied on a late goal-line stand to preserve the victory.
Malik Ingram rushed for 230 yards, including a 51-yard TD sprint, to lead Mater Dei, which finished 10-2.
