Rumson-Fair Haven wins state football bowl championship

Rumson-Fair Haven High School completed the football season with a 26-18 victory over Woodrow Wilson High School of Camden, 26-18, in the NJSIAA Central/South Group 3 Bowl Game on Saturday, Dec. 1, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford.

Rumson-Fair Haven, the Central Jersey, Group 3 state sectional playoff champion, was sparked by Alex Maldjian, who rushed for 207 yards and one touchdown against the South Jersey, Group 3 state sectional winner.

The victory capped a 10-2 season for Rumson-Fair Haven.
