Old Bridge Library offers snow globe making, ugly sweater decorating projects

‘Tweens and teens can take robotics classes, make snow globes, decorate ugly sweaters, and prep for the ACT/SAT this December at the Old Bridge Library, 1 Old Bridge Plaza, corner of Route 516 and Cottrell Road, Old Bridge.

Snow globe making will take place at 7 p.m. on Dec. 10 for children in grades 4-6. Registration is required.

Ugly sweater decorating is open to children in grades 4-6 at 7 p.m. on Dec. 11. Participants should bring in a sweater or t-shirt or sweatshirt. The library will provide supplies to decorate. Holiday drinks and snacks will be served. No registration is necessary.

Ivy Masters Learning Center will present an informative seminar on the SAT and ACT exams at 3 p.m. on Dec. 16. Topics will include recent changes to the tests, strategies for better scores, and how universities use the reported scores. SAT 2 subject tests and PSAT/National Merit Scholarships will also be discussed. Open to teens and adults. Space is limited, and registration is suggested.

Winter cookie decorating will be held at 7 p.m. on Dec. 18 for teens in grades 6-12. Registration is required.

A Robotics Coding Mini-Workshop will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 26-28. This special workshop will serve as an introductory session to the Hummingbird Robotics Kit. Students will learn various coding techniques, which will be used to turn artwork into moving images. Space is limited. Open to teens in grades 9-12. Participants must register and be available for all three sessions.
