Reformed Church Home (RCH) collected more than $3,500 during a month-long fundraising effort to benefit the Old Bridge Food Bank, far exceeding the initial goal and topping previous annual donations.

RCH also donated more than 500 pounds of nonperishable food to help restock the food bank after the Thanksgiving rush. Residents and staff at the home celebrated the accomplishment during a brunch reception with Old Bridge Mayor Owen Henry, Food Bank Manager Anahita Feltz and Director of Parks and Recreation Matt Mercurio.

RCH staff members conducted the drive during November via several fundraising events, including a holiday craft sale, special breakfast and lunch items for sale, Thursday night wing nights, take-out Friday night dinners, a bake sale, and T-shirt/hat sale, all part of the global “Stop Hunger” initiative. The project was coordinated by Liz Alioto, Dining Services director, and Marie Trezza, Development director, to continue a tradition established at Reformed Church Home several years ago.
