Expert to speak about immigration policy on Jan. 29

The third and fourth grade students participated in the "Immigration Day" which included the many stations that took place at the real Ellis Island. Monmouth University teacher candidates served as the officers and doctors to learn how to execute a culminating activity to a unit of study.

“Immigration: Separating Fact From Fiction” will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Jan. 29 at the Middlesex County Fire Academy, 1001 Fire Academy Dr., Sayreville.

Guest speaker John Thompson, district director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, will speak about immigration policy, enforcement and removal protocols.
