Ballet performance of ‘The Nutcracker’ comes to Bordentown on Dec. 9

The Central New Jersey Ballet Theatre (CNJBT) and Bordentown Home for Funerals will showcase a performance of “The Nutcracker” on Dec. 7 at Villa Victoria in Ewing and Dec. 9 at the Carslake Community Center in Bordentown.

This will be the CNJBT’s seventh production of “The Nutcracker.” The cast is as follows: Shriya Varma from Robbinsville High School as the Sugar Plum Fairy; Tanner Hutchinson from Heightstown High School as the Snow Queen; Caitlyn Yang, a senior at Heightstown High School, as the Dew Drop Fairy; dancing the Arabian pas de deux will be Reagan Narwid, a senior from Northern Burlington High School; and Stevie Schaffer Massingill, a seventh-grader from Hamilton as Clara. Guest-starring as Uncle Drosslemeyer for the Carslake performance will be Father Matthew Tucker of Christ Church in Bordentown.

The CNJBT is a company of talented young dancers from Trenton, Hamilton, East Windsor, Robbinsville, Hopewell, Princeton, Allentown, Florence, Bordentown, Wrightstown and Columbus. The performers, ages 18 and younger, will bring this holiday classic to life on the stage.

Tickets may be purchased at the CNJBT in Bordentown or at the door for the Villa Victoria show. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for children 10 years old and younger. The Carslake Community Center Show is sponsored by Bordentown Home for Funerals and is a free show; first come, first serve at the door.

Donations will go towards the Elks Special Children’s fund, Camp Moore.
