Hillsborough 8th Graders Play in Greater NJ AYF All-Star Game, Caporaso gets MVP

Members of the Hillsborough Jr. Raiders were nominated to play in the Greater NJ AYF All-Star game that took place Saturday Nov 10th. The All-Star game consisted of 8th grade players from each varsity team, nominated by head coaches from around the conference, and then divided into teams the week prior to the game.

The game ended in a 21-7 score with Mike Caporaso being awarded the MVP for his squad. He had 2 rushing touchdowns. Dom Monsorno had 7 tackles for his team and Mike Giuliano had an interception.

The following Hillsborough Jr. Raiders played in the game:

Mike Caporaso
Mike Giuliano
Brandon LoBello
Gianni Santonastaso
Ryan Siwice
Ryan Tasetano

The following players were nominated but were unable to play due to their championship game being played the same day, injury, or prior commitment:

Tanner Bozcon
Dalton Crater
Mike Miller
Kevin Shelton
Cole Thornton

The best part of the All-Star game experience was the opportunity to meet and play with kids from other towns who they will play through high school.
