On Dec. 15, representatives of the Keansburg Police Department in Monmouth County contacted the Metuchen Police Department and advised police of a stop-and-hold on a vehicle that was believed to be making Amazon deliveries in Metuchen.

The man was an independent contractor who was delivering packages from Amazon, but was not an Amazon employee, police said.

A short time later the same day, Metuchen patrol officers observed the vehicle and stopped the driver on Oakland Avenue after witnessing a motor vehicle violation. Police said the driver was processed and turned over to Keansburg detectives.
