A Rutgers University student has been charged with contempt of a court order weeks after officials lodged an attempted murder charge.
Izaia Bullock, 22, of South River, was charged on Oct. 30 with two counts of attempted murder in the first degree and two counts of conspiracy to commit murder in the first degree.
On Nov. 1, he was charged with one count of cyber harassment in the fourth degree.
On Nov. 29, a court order was presented to the defendant which prohibited him from having any oral, written, personal, electronic or other form of contact or communication with the victim. Bullock reportedly knowingly violated a provision of that court order on Dec. 26 when he allegedly contacted the victim via a group message on an online application, according to information provided by Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Chief Kenneth Cop of the Rutgers University Police Department.
On Dec. 27, Bullock was charged with contempt of a court order which was issued by Middlesex County Superior Court.
