The Young Adult Peer Advocate Award in North Brunswick was awarded to a young woman who has been collecting items for troops overseas.
Chloe Carlano-Rossmann is a senior at North Brunswick Township High School, is a member of the National Honor Society and has been a Homeroom Representative for three years. She tutors students struggling in a specific class. She has been a member of the Key Club for two years.
Chloe is a member of the Care to Walk club, PUSH (Prevention Using Student Help), P.A.W.S. (Protecting Animals With Service) and the American Red Cross Club at her school.
She won the Kids Who Make Magic award from WMGQ 98.3 FM after being nominated for her efforts for veterans by former North Brunswick Township High School Principal Pete Clark. She was also chosen by the North Brunswick Woman’s Club to attend the Girls Career Institute, a four day conference at Douglass College.
Chloe works as an afterschool counselor for Project LEAL and is a junior member of the Milltown Rescue Squad.
Her future plans are to attend college and study nursing.
She received the award from the North Brunswick Department of Parks, Recreation & Community Services during the North Brunswick Township Council meeting on Dec. 3.
